Pay A Person gives you the flexibility to pay friends, reimburse family, or split a bill without needing cash, checks, or third-party apps.

Instructions & Important Information

Whether you’re sending money for the first time or need a quick refresher, this section has everything you need to get started with Pay A Person (P2P). Below you will find instructions for both desktop online banking and the WCCU Mobile App so you can choose the method that works best for you.

In addition, you’ll find helpful tips for adding a new personal contact to your P2P list and key information for those receiving funds from you!   • Online Banking (Desktop) User Instructions
  • Log in to Online Banking (Desktop)
  • Tip: For a mobile friendly experience, download the WCCU Mobile App from your mobile device’s App Store.
  • Navigate to the Transfer & Pay tab on the top of screen
  • Click Bill Pay & P2P
  • Select Pay A Person in the header
  • Select a contact from your list and then select Next
  • Enter the amount to pay
  • Complete the Add a memo section – this text will show up in the recipient’s text or email message that they receive so they know what the payment is for. Emojis and special characters can be used in this area!
  • Under the From section, select the account you want to use for funding the payment.
  • Complete the Frequency details (Send Date & Repeats):
  • One-time – Payment is sent once
  • You may also choose from weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, every 2 weeks, twice a month, every 4 weeks, every other month, every 4 months, and every 6 months.
  • For a repeating payment, select an ending:
  • Until I Cancel – The payment repeats until you cancel
  • After a number of payments – Enter the number of transactions to occur or select from the list. Up to 99 repeated payments are supported.
  • End date – Choose a date from the calendar that appears
  • Select Pay
  • The Schedule Payment screen appears
  • Confirm all details and then select Confirm
  • Select Done

  • Log in to WCCU Mobile App
  • Navigate to the Move Money tab on the bottom of screen
  • Select P2P
  • Select Pay A Person in the footer
  • Select a contact from your list and then select Next
  • Enter the amount to pay

  • Under the From section, select the account you want to use for funding the payment.

  • Under Pay A Person, Click Add Contact
  • You will be directed to get a verification code to verify your identity
  • On the Add Contact screen, enter contact’s first and last name
  • Enter contact’s mobile number AND/OR email address
  • For ease of use, the recipient’s cell phone should be a smart phone that can receive text messages and securely access the internet
  • Choose how to send the payment
  • If only one contact method is entered, that method will default
  • If both email and the recipient’s mobile number are entered, you must choose one
  • Add a security question and the answer
  • Click Save and Pay
  • Information for the Recipient of Funds:
  • You must submit a payment before the notification will be sent to the recipient.
  • Once the recipient receives the notification, they will click on the link that was sent to them.
  • The recipient will choose how they want to receive the payment.
  • Debit Card – instant payment, recipient is charged $3.00 fee
  • WCCU Direct – recipient that is a member of WCCU can enter their member number and 4-digit share number to receive funds immediately, no fee.
  • Next-Day ACH – recipient enters their routing and account number and will receive funds the next business day, no fee
  • The recipient’s chosen method for receiving funds will be remembered for all future payments
  • The recipient can change how they receive funds by clicking the link the next time you send them funds

Here’s how it works:

  • Any day during the first 10 days that you log in to send money, you will need to call WCCU during business hours to get a verification code from a staff member.
  • If you log in, get your code, and then don’t use P2P again for the rest of the 10 days, you only need to verify that one time.

Once the 10-day security window has passed, your verification codes will be delivered automatically by text or to your email, no phone call is needed.

**CALL & TEXT SCAM REMINDER** WCCU will NEVER call or text asking you for passwords, codes, account numbers, SSN, etc. If you receive a call or text claiming to be from WCCU and you are suspicious, hang up/do not reply. If you are concerned about activity on your account, contact WCCU.
